Product Review: Mumuso Aloe Vera Gel Mask

Hello there again!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted something on this blog, so please look after me well.

For today’s post, I will be reviewing a product I recently discovered at a store called Mumuso.

Mumuso is a Korean store that sells a wide range of products―from skin care, make-up, household items and even cute stuffed animals. It has different branches all over Metro Manila, and the branch that I’ve visited was the one in Venice Grand Canal Mall in Mckinley Taguig. The main reason why I went there was because of their Aloe Vera gel mask, which I have heard was very good. So I got my hands on one and tried to see it for myself.

Mumuso’s Aloe Vera gel mask comes in a 300g jar. It was pretty heavy. It said on the packaging that it has 92% Aloe Vera. This was my first Aloe Vera gel mask and I have heard that Aloe Vera gel masks are really good for hydration and repairing your skin.

The product has a clear, thin consistency and it has a mild but distinctive scent of aloe vera. It is water-based and is very easy to wash off.

My first impressions of the product:

The aloe vera gel mask had this cooling effect upon application. It was also scented, and though I was not bothered by it, some people might be. It had no special direction on how it should be used, except that it said at the bottom of the jar to apply a small amount of gel after toner application and that it was for all skin types.

In my case, I have an oily skin type and is on the sensitive side of the spectrum, so what I did was apply it like how I would apply a sheet mask. I put it on my face for 20 – 30 minutes and then washed it off afterward.

Thoughts after using it:

I liked the product. It was very affordable. There was so much product in one jar. The price was a steal. I even recommended it to one of my colleagues and he liked the product. My mom even liked it. I would definitely repurchase it after I used up all of mine.

You can grab one of these affordable beauties at any Mumuso Branch. Though I have read somewhere, that they are often out of stock due to their popularity. But it was always available at the Venice Grand Canal Mall branch. It was retailed at Php 99 for a 300g jar.
