Hello there!
Today I will be reviewing Senka Perfect Whip Acne Care Foam Cleanser.
Please look after me well again this time!
*Disclaimer: I have nothing against the company. This is purely based on my skincare experience. Senka is a good product for some people, but unfortunately not my skin’s cup of tea.
I’ve heard tons of good things about Senka’s Perfect Whip foam cleanser. That is why I am kind of interested in trying them out myself because I love cleansers. The most hyped one in the skincare line was the blue one. But suffering from acne breakouts during that time, I thought why not use the acne care, right? It is the green one.
It contains Salicylic Acid, and if you know a thing about salicylic acid is that it is good for those who have acne. I thought it would be the answer I was looking for, so I went ahead and tried one.
Formulation-wise, very nice foam texture. It is great. It cleanses well. But it dries my skin that it triggers more acne. It makes my cheeks full of tiny bumps it is frustrating. I was not a fan, in an instant. The price is affordable, I think.

Final Thoughts
I think the culprit is salicylic acid. It made my skin dry and it made my skin turnover so fast it cannot keep up. Now, I always made sure not to reach out for anything with that ingredient. I should’ve tried the blue one because I think that is more hydrating than this.
So would I recommend this?
No.
If you have the same finicky skin as I am, don’t bother trying this one. Save your money for a more hydrating one.

Love you guys so much.
Cheers,

Honestly for me the culprit is alcohol…I noticed that all the senka cleansers have alcohol which dries my skin out..

I think so too. They feel really harsh on my skin. But some likes it, so I guess it’s use it at your own risk. But I would really advise against it if you have sensitive skin.

May I know your skin type?

I used to have combination skin when I used this, but I noticed that it is dry now that I’m getting closer to my thirties and since moving abroad.
